Naples – At just 24 years old, Mattia Barbarossa, already defined as the enfant prodige of the Italian space sector, is writing a new chapter in his career: appointed Strategic Technologies Advisor of Marscenter Srl, a subsidiary of the Space Factory Group, he confirms himself as the youngest industrial entrepreneur in the sector at an international level.
Space Factory, a leader in the development of microsatellite reentry technologies and in biopharmaceutical testing in microgravity, is counting on Barbarossa's talent to accelerate innovation. His pioneering vision and experience in the field of advanced space technologies will be crucial to guide the company's next strategic choices.
“Mattia’s contribution will be central to the industrialization of our technologies on the global market,” said Norberto Salza, President of Space Factory. “With him, we are strengthening our innovative DNA, aiming for an increasingly accessible space for science, industry and human well-being.”
Marscenter, founded in 1988 by Prof. Luigi Gerardo Napolitano, a pioneer of microgravity, is today a symbol of excellence in space research. In the 80s it was one of three centers in the world specialized in this field. Relaunched in 2019, today it focuses on the opportunities of the New Space Economy, under the guidance of astronaut Roberto Vittori, Honorary President.
“Space Factory is a reference for space progress,” commented Barbarossa. “It is an honor to be part of a company that has its roots in the legacy of Prof. Napolitano.”
A synergy that unites young innovators and solid engineering skills, projecting Italy towards leadership in the space economy.
