NAPLES – The nightlife in Mergellina is once again turning into a war bulletin. Late on Saturday evening, June 22, a 25-year-old was stabbed near a club along Corso Vittorio Emanuele, near the coastal area. A lightning-fast attack, carried out in a few moments and before the eyes of dozens of people, which has brought the issue of security back to the forefront of the Neapolitan nightlife scene.
The victim was found in a pool of blood, collapsed in a parking lot, with multiple stab wounds to the buttocks and thigh. His condition immediately appeared serious, but not life-threatening. After first aid from 118, the young man was rushed to the San Paolo hospital, where he is still hospitalized with a red code.

The situation in Mergellina is really worrying. It cannot continue like this, it seems that violence is becoming normal. I hope that the authorities take concrete measures to guarantee the safety of citizens and tourists.
It is sad to see how certain episodes can ruin an evening that should be of leisure and fun. People have the right to feel safe while going out, especially in busy areas like Mergellina.
