NORTHERN ITALY
Morning with skies generally covered by clouds especially over Liguria and north of the Po River. Possible localized showers over Alto Adige and the Lombard Alps. In the afternoon, residual instability over the central-eastern Alps and Prealps, in particular over the Triveneto, with showers and brief thunderstorms. Improving in the evening with clear or partly cloudy skies over much of the North.
Temperature: stable or slightly increasing, with highs around 30-32°C.
Winds: weak or moderate from the south-east.
Mari: slightly wavy or locally wavy.
CENTRAL ITALY
Stable and sunny day in all regions. Some harmless cloud cover may develop in the afternoon along the Apennine ridge but without significant phenomena. The evening and night will be clear everywhere.
Temperature: slightly rising, with maximum values between 30 and 33°C.
Winds: weak from the south-eastern quadrants.
Mari: calm or slightly moving.
SOUTH ITALY
A full summer day: clear skies and warm weather since the morning. Stable conditions will remain in the afternoon with few clouds and lots of sun. The weather will remain unchanged in the evening.
Temperature: on the rise, with peaks of 37-39°C in Puglia, Basilicata and eastern Sicily.
Winds: weak and variable.
Mari: generally little moved.
MAJOR ISLANDS
Lots of sunshine also in Sardinia and Sicily, without significant variations throughout the day.
Temperature: increasing, with maximum values above 35°C in the internal and eastern areas.
Winds: weak, breeze-like.
Mari: little movement.
Next few days
The beginning of the week will still be dominated by high pressure, with stable and sunny weather throughout the country. Between Monday and Tuesday, a temporary drop in temperatures in the South and along the Adriatic coast due to north-westerly currents should be noted.
But a new spike in temperatures is expected from mid-week: another wave of African heat could hit Italy with new peaks close to 40°C.

It seems that this North African anticyclone is bringing intense heat and high temperatures, but I don't know if this stability will last long. Let's hope that there aren't too many problems with the climate in the next few days.
