Naples – Lawyer Vittorio Torino, a prominent figure in the Campania region's cultural and television scene, has passed away at the age of 81. Longtime Consul of the Republic of San Marino, Torino co-founded Canale 21 with his brother Andrea, helping to create one of Southern Italy's most beloved broadcasters.

An eclectic personality, he has produced highly successful programs, including two editions of the prestigious Naples Festival at the Teatro Politeama and the talk show “Parliamone un po'”, hosted by Professor Alessandro Cutolo.

In the 1980s, Turin stood out as the creator of the five editions of “San Gennaro in New York,” an event that transformed Little Italy into a corner of Naples, promoting extraordinary intercultural exchanges between Italy and the United States.

The funeral will be held on Thursday at 10:XNUMX am at the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli. With his passing, Naples loses a protagonist of its television and cultural history.

The passing of Vittorio Torino was a great loss for Naples and its culture. I always followed his programs on television, they were interesting and well done. I hope his legacy continues to live on.
