Naples – The racketeering lords are making their presence felt with bombs even in Piazza Mercato. It happened this morning after the sun had already risen.
In fact, around 6am, the Carabinieri operations centre received a phone call reporting the explosion of a device in via Pasquale Baffi.
Unknown individuals had detonated a homemade explosive device, which damaged two parked cars, the front door, and some windows of the building at number 15. There were no injuries.
The investigation has been entrusted to the Carabinieri of the mobile radio unit and the Borgoloreto station, who are analyzing images from public and private cameras located in the area in search of frames useful for the investigation.
The Piazza Mercato area has been the scene of a criminal conflict for years which, in addition to the nocturnal baby gangs, sees the opposing criminal interests of the two most powerful Camorra clans in Naples: the Mazzarellas and the Continis.
