Napoli- Yet another brawl on the youth soccer fields, yet another negative example for young people. It happened in the Sanità district of Naples on the San Gennaro field.
The parents of the two teams in the provincial final of the men's under 16 soccer championship, which saw Ischia win against Cantera Napoli by 4 to 0, came to blows.
“A fight broke out with subsequent kidnapping during the provincial final of the men's under-16 soccer championship, which saw Ischia defeat Cantera Napoli by 4 to 0. At the final whistle, some people in the stands and on the pitch began to argue heatedly, which then came to blows.”
This was announced by Avs deputy Francesco Emilio Borrelli. He also explained: “The blind beatings were recorded in a video broadcast live by a person present in the stands, a video then removed shortly after. On this person's Facebook wall there is still a post in which he desperately asks for help 'We are blocked in the San Gennaro alla Sanità camp, we cannot leave the camp. Send the police and carabinieri quickly'.
The Carabinieri arrived on site to verify what had happened and had to escort the visiting team, their families and the fans outside the stadium".
The Carabinieri have acquired the footage
“I saw with my own eyes – says the parliamentarian – the video of the brawl which broke out at the end of the match, unworthy images especially if we think about the context, that is, a football match between kids who are not even 16 years old. What happened is very serious, I ask that all responsibilities be ascertained and that the perpetrators of the violence be identified and punished as they deserve.
How can you think of literally holding dozens of people hostage for a football match? Sport is not this, it must also teach how to accept defeat, but if the parents of these kids are the first to raise their hands then we must intervene decisively because these are not the examples that our young people deserve”.
I police intervened acquired the video and formulated an initial report based on the testimonies collected and sent to the Prosecutor's Office. The Campania regional football committee was informed of the incident and will take drastic measures this week.

It's strange how parents instead of supporting their children in a football match start arguing, this is not a good example for the kids. Violence should have no place in sports, but unfortunately it happens often.
