The roar of the engines returns to resonate among the waves of Lungomare Caracciolo, where Naples is preparing to experience the second edition of the Napoli Racing Show – Gran Premio di Napoli, scheduled for 6 to 8 December 2025. An event that is not limited to the show, but forcefully relaunches a dream that smacks of challenge and vision: bringing Formula 1 to the shadow of Vesuvius.
The presentation conference was held in the suggestive setting of the Tennis Club Napoli, enriched by a parade of racing and vintage cars that crossed the heart of the city up to Piazza Vittoria, anticipating the adrenaline-filled atmosphere that will characterize the winter event. An event that mixes competition, popular passion, attention to road safety, inclusion and tourist attraction.
“We have the most beautiful seafront in the world, it's time to dream big”, said Enzo Rivellini, creator and president of the event, who resolutely relaunches the idea of a Mediterranean Grand Prix. After the concrete risk of losing the historic Monza GP, Naples presents itself as a modern, fascinating and spectacular alternative. The Neapolitan city circuit, according to Rivellini, could join the great international scenarios, in the wake of what was done with the America's Cup.
Manfredi: “Formula 1, Naples has all the right cards”
The promotion committee is already active and will soon start operational contacts with the Government, local administration and ACI top management. The goal is to bring historic Formula 1 first, then maybe Formula E, until the fastest single-seaters in the world parade under Castel dell'Ovo. And if Monte Carlo has always been the symbol of glamour on the track, Naples does not want to stand by and watch.
Mayor Gaetano Manfredi did not hide his enthusiasm: "Today, the priority is on city circuits, and Naples has all the credentials to seize this opportunity. Our motorsport tradition must be relaunched, also as a tourist and cultural driving force." Also supporting the idea is the ACI Commissioner, General Tullio Del Sette, who, although aware of the complexity of the project, recalled that Stefano Domenicali, current number one of Formula 1 and proudly Italian, said he was open to evaluating the proposal.
Riccardo Villari, president of the Tennis Club Napoli, confirmed his direct involvement in the realization of the project, underlining his desire to be an active part in this challenge. The Napoli Racing Show 2025 thus confirms itself as much more than a simple motorsport event: it is the fuse that could ignite a sporting and cultural revolution, a high-speed dream that aims straight at the heart of world motorsport.
