Napoli – Arpac (Campania Regional Agency for Environmental Protection) has begun the first assessments of the environmental consequences of the fire that affected the area of Via Gianturco, near the Centro Direzionale.
In coordination with the Fire Brigade, a high-flow sampler was installed to monitor the dispersion of dioxins, furans and dioxin-like polychlorinated biphenyls. The results of these analyses will be available within the technical timeframes necessary for laboratory processing.
Meanwhile, theArpac communicated a reassuring fact: the monitoring of air quality through fixed stations located in the city of Naples highlighted, between Saturday and Sunday, a picture substantially compliant with the legal limits.
A situation probably favored by the moderate ventilation, which contributed to the dispersion of the pollutants emitted, as stated in a note from the Agency.
In all the stations of the detection network of the city of Naples, the concentrations of the various pollutants monitored did not show trends clearly attributable to the fire. Arpac continues to monitor the situation, awaiting the results of more specific analyses.

It is important that Arpac evaluates the fire, but I hope that the results of the analysis will be published soon. Air quality is fundamental for the health of all of us, even if I have heard that there have been some repercussions.
