Naples – A 44-year-old man, resident in Barra , with a criminal record, was arrested yesterday morning by the State Police for domestic abuse.
The intervention was triggered following a report of a family dispute received by the Operations Room of the Office of General Prevention and Public Aid.
The officers, arriving on the scene, found a woman in an evident state of agitation. The victim said she had been verbally attacked by her partner for trivial reasons and that the man, with the intent of physically hitting her, as had already happened in the past, had broken down the door of the house.
Thanks to the rapid intervention of the police, the episode did not degenerate further. The 44-year-old was arrested and taken into custody, while investigations continue to clarify the dynamics of the facts and protect the victim.
It is very sad that there are people who do this to their own family. I do not understand how it can reach these levels of violence, I hope that the woman can find help and support from someone.
