Naples – A 46 year old man, resident in Naples, was arrested this morning Naples and already known to the police, considered a serious suspect in a series of aggravated robberies and illegal possession of weapons.
A custodial order was executed against him, issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Naples at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office.
The contested robberies date back to a short period of time, between April 17 and 21, 2025, and all occurred during the night hours, with a precise pattern: the victims were young people returning home, attacked and threatened with a cutting weapon. According to the prosecution, the man allegedly made them hand over money and personal items, and then quickly fled.
The investigations conducted by the investigative team of the Decumani Police Station were crucial to the identification of the suspect, as in just a few days they reconstructed the movements and collected useful elements to outline the alleged responsibility of the suspect.
It should be noted that the precautionary measure was ordered during the preliminary investigation phase: the man is currently under investigation and presumed innocent until a final sentence is reached. The channels for appealing the order remain open.
