Vasto, armed with a knife attempts a robbery in a restaurant: 26-year-old Senegalese arrested
Attempted robbery yesterday afternoon in Naples, in via Cesare Rosaroll, where a man armed with a knife broke into a restaurant trying to get a customer to hand over money.
The attacker, a 26-year-old of Senegalese origin, illegal in the national territory and with specific precedents, was arrested by the Police of State on charges of attempted aggravated robbery.
According to the reconstruction by the agents of the Vicaria-Mercato Police Station and the “Nibbio” of the General Prevention Office, the alarm was raised after a report reached the Operations Room. Once on site, the police were approached by the victim, still in shock, who told what had happened.
The man, while sitting at a table inside the business, was approached by a stranger who, armed with a knife, attempted to rob him. After threatening the customer, the criminal gave up, perhaps due to the customer's reaction or fear of being discovered, and fled.
The detailed descriptions provided to the Police allowed them to quickly track down the suspect, who was stopped not far from the restaurant. The 26-year-old was immediately arrested.
