Pomigliano d'Arco tightens its fist against youth violence. Over the weekend, the Local Police carried out a decisive operation against the phenomenon of baby gangs that for weeks had cast disturbing shadows on the tranquility of the nightlife.
During a targeted patrol in the sensitive areas of the city center, the agents of the Urban Security Unit stopped a group of teenagers red-handed while they were attacking their peers. The identifications and reports were immediate. The investigations confirmed that one of the boys involved is the same one already reported a few days ago for a violent attack that took place near the amusement park rides. via Roma, where a knuckle duster had been used.
The minor, resident in a neighboring municipality and already entrusted to social services, was again reported, along with the other arrested, to the Prosecutor's Office at the Juvenile Court of Naples. They have all been returned to their families, but a judicial process is now open for them. A second attacker, currently on the run, has yet to be identified, but the investigation is continuing at a rapid pace.

It is important that the police intervene against youth violence, but I wonder if it is enough to just arrest the kids. We need a program to educate young people to resolve conflicts without violence and not just stop them.
