The investigation is a development of a previous activity that in May 2024 had already led to the investigation of eight people for the same crimes. According to the Prosecutor's Office, the criminal organization, despite the previous blows suffered, would have continued to "manage the drug dealing areas" in the municipalities of Nocera Superiore, Castel San Giorgio and Cava de' Tirreni.
The gang's modus operandi involved two sales methods: retail sales to homes, with couriers delivering doses of crack and cocaine ordered by telephone, and direct sales at "drug shops", which often coincided with the homes of those arrested.
