The investigation builds on a previous investigation that, in May 2024, had already led to the investigation of eight individuals for the same crimes. According to the Prosecutor's Office, the criminal organization, despite the previous attacks, continued to "manage drug dealing hubs" in the municipalities of Nocera Superiore , Castel San Giorgio, and Cava de' Tirreni.
The gang's modus operandi involved two sales methods: retail sales to homes, with couriers delivering doses of crack and cocaine ordered by telephone, and direct sales at "drug shops", which often coincided with the homes of those arrested.
