An important development in the investigation into the massive tax evasion involving a group of entrepreneurs between Airola, Montesarchio and other municipalities in Campania. The Review Court of Benevento has in fact annulled the preventive seizure order issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Benevento, returning to the 58-year-old entrepreneur from Airola the two properties, the company shares and the sums frozen in various current accounts.
The man was accused of orchestrating a complex network of false invoices to evade taxes, an action that led to the seizure of assets with a total value of 2,5 million euros as part of an investigation by the Guardia di Finanza involving about a dozen people in various locations, including Giugliano and Casoria.
The decision of the Review Court, accepting the defense arguments of the lawyer Vittorio Fucci, represents a significant turning point and could have decisive repercussions on the fate of the criminal proceedings. It should be remembered that the case had already gone through a legal battle that saw the Supreme Court of Cassation recognize the jurisdiction of the GIP of Benevento, after having annulled the jurisdiction of the GIP of Naples North, who had originally issued the seizure orders.
The other defendants, assisted by a team of lawyers including Ettore Marcarelli, Mario Griffo, Carmen Esposito and others, are now awaiting developments in the case in a procedural context that promises to be complex and strategic.
