A tragedy narrowly avoided the Apulian state road 90, where a 26-year-old motorcyclist was injured following a violent collision with a wild boar. The accident occurred in Scarnecchia, just outside Ariano Irpino, in the province of Avellino. The motorcyclist, originally from Grottaminarda , was riding his motorcycle along the state road when he suddenly encountered a herd of wild boars crossing the road.
The impact was impossible to avoid: one of the animals, weighing about 70 kilograms, was hit head-on, killing him instantly. The motorcyclist was thrown onto the asphalt, suffering a broken hand. Fortunately, a friend was riding behind him, who witnessed the scene and immediately raised the alarm.
The young man was rushed to the hospital, but his condition is not worrying. The health workers and the staff of the ASL Prevention Department intervened on the spot, and the animal's carcass was recovered. The episode reopens the debate on the uncontrolled presence of wild fauna along the Irpinia roads, where similar incidents are multiplying.

This article is interesting but it also highlights serious problems that exist on the roads. Measures must be taken to prevent accidents like this, because the safety of motorcyclists must be a priority. We hope that something can be done.
