Pompei – The earth shook this morning in the Campi Flegrei, and the consequences were felt as far as the Archaeological Park of Pompeii.

A magnitude 3.2 shock, part of the ongoing seismic swarm, caused the partial collapse of a wall and a portion of a vault in the insula Meridionalis. The collapse, which occurred around 7 am, affected a structure already damaged by the 1980 Irpinia earthquake and currently undergoing restoration and shoring.
No injuries, but site remains 'fragile'
Fortunately, the Archaeological Park of Pompeii has reported that there were no injuries to people. The structure hit by the collapses did not have frescoes or movable artifacts. "Pompeii is a fragile site," explained the director Gabriel Zuchtriegel, announcing an immediate thorough check of the entire area to ascertain any further damage. The goal is to have a complete picture of the situation as quickly as possible.
Monitoring and collaboration for the safety of the heritage
The Park is working to secure the area concerned and, at the same time, has started in-depth checks on the entire archaeological area. Collaborating in this complex work is also a team of external experts, recently charged with the systematic and periodic monitoring of the 13 thousand rooms of the ancient city, through a dedicated digital platform. The data collected is essential for planning maintenance activities, vital for the conservation of the structures.
For the assessment of the seismic event and any future risks, the Park is also actively collaborating with the INGV (National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology). The episode once again underlines the constant vulnerability of an archaeological heritage of inestimable value, constantly threatened by natural phenomena.

Regina Ada Scarico, has worked for over 15 years in the world of theater and entertainment in general and has had very long experiences as administrator and coordinator of companies in complex shows, with numerous actors and staff. She has always taken care of theater companies and also in the more general context of event organization, both relationships with third-party entities and subjects and those with the press and the world of mass media, having managed the press office on several occasions in full autonomy on the occasion of shows, reviews, exhibitions and events
I read the article and it seems that the earthquake did some damage, but fortunately no one was hurt. It is important that the entire park is checked to avoid future problems.
It's nice to know that there were no injuries, but I wonder why the restoration work wasn't completed earlier. Pompeii is a risk area and more attention should be paid.
