At Pharmintech , Steriline consolidates its position in the Italian pharmaceutical processing landscape, presenting itself as a strategic partner for highly innovative aseptic filling and packaging solutions . The company exhibited a compact, integrated solution combining advanced robotics, magnetic levitation, and advanced isolation systems for highly critical applications.
A strategic showcase in the heart of the fair dedicated to the LifeScience industry
The 2025 edition of Pharmintech concluded on May 30, attracting over 1.300 exhibitors from 28 countries . International operators accounted for 38% of the attendees, with strong attendance from Germany, Turkey, the Netherlands, France, and China. Spread across eight pavilions covering over 60.000 m² of net space, the event offered a comprehensive overview of the most advanced solutions in the fields of pharmaceutical packaging and processing , confirming its position as a leading platform for technological innovation in the sector.
In this high-profile context, Steriline stood out by presenting the RVFCM11-S , a compact and highly technological machine that integrates advanced robotics solutions, magnetic levitation and insulation systems, arousing considerable interest among operators in the sector.
Specializing in the design and production of complete lines for the aseptic packaging of injectable and ophthalmic drugs, Steriline has chosen Pharmintech to strengthen its visibility and competitiveness on the Italian market , considered crucial for its future development plans.
As stated by Ilaria Fumagalli, the company's CEO: "We consider this fair very important for our national development."
RVFCM11-S: Compactness and Technology for Advanced Therapies
At the center of the exhibition (Hall 2, Stand B17), the RVFCM11-S machine captured visitors' attention. It is an integrated solution for primary packaging , designed to meet the needs of gene and cell therapies, where precision, containment, and operational flexibility are essential requirements.
Despite its small size (2,25 x 1,65 m), the system incorporates a combination of cutting-edge technologies:
- Magnetic levitation transport, to eliminate mechanical contact and reduce particulate generation
- Double wall insulation, for a greater barrier to microbiological risk
- Stäubli Stericlean anthropomorphic robots, for sterile and high-precision handling.
Zero-contact technology for a fully automated process
The machine operates with a single filling head, connected to a high-accuracy peristaltic pump, supported by dedicated capping and sealing modules . The absence of glass-to-glass contact, achieved through robotic handling and levitation, ensures a process with minimal risk of contamination and mechanical damage.
The operating cycle begins with a manual debagging station. The containers are then processed in a single process: picking, filling, closing, and capping are monitored via integrated vision systems . An in-line weighing module ensures volumetric compliance of the dosage, in line with the " zero waste " process philosophy , aimed at maximizing efficiency and minimizing product loss.
One of the key competitive advantages of the RVFCM11-S is its short decontamination cycle time , achieved using VHP ( vaporized hydrogen peroxide ) technology. This makes it particularly suitable for small production runs and frequent product changeovers. The double-barrier isolation system minimizes the risk of contamination, while improving operator and work environment safety.
A European player with a global vocation
Founded in 1989 in the Como district, Steriline has maintained its headquarters and production facilities in Italy over the years, gradually expanding internationally. Today, it operates in over 50 countries with over 2.000 installed machines spread across Europe, Asia, and the United States. Exports account for over 90% of its turnover, thanks to a network of approximately 400 professionals and over 40 local representatives.
A complete portfolio for sterile packaging able to cover all phases of the aseptic process, with entire production lines, standard or robotic, capable of integrating:
- washing, filling and capping machines
- depyrogenation tunnel
- external decontamination systems
- containment systems: LAF, oRABS, cRABS, isolators
All solutions are compatible with glass or plastic containers ( bottles, vials, cartridges, syringes ) and are designed to handle liquid or powdered, toxic and non-toxic products.
