Napoli– In view of the traditional “Night Before Exams”, the Municipality of Naples has issued an ordinance to ensure the safety of high school graduates and residents of the hilly area.
On Tuesday 17 June, from 15:3 p.m. until XNUMX:XNUMX a.m., there will be a ban on the sale of beverages in glass containers, rigid plastic, cans or other rigid materials in the areas of Piazzale San Martino, Via Tito Angelini and Via Morghen, places that have always been frequented by young people on the eve of their final exams.
Drinks may only be sold in plastic or paper cups. The measure concerns all commercial establishments in the area and will remain in force until the early hours of Wednesday 18 June, or in any case until the need ceases.
The ordinance also prohibits the sale and possession of pepper sprays, such as those containing chili peppers (oleoresin capsicum), for the duration of the event. The measure is aimed at preventing episodes of violence, damage or dangerous situations on an occasion that, although festive, attracts hundreds of young people every year and requires particular attention on the public order front.
