Saviano– A devastating fire that broke out this morning in a home at number 43 Corso Europa, in Saviano, caused the death of a 55-year-old man.
The Carabinieri of the Nola Radiomobile Section, who promptly intervened on site together with the Fire Brigade, managed to save a 38-year-old woman and a 67-year-old man, found on the ground floor of the building.
Unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done for the woman's second son, who was on the upper floor: the man was found lifeless, presumably at the point where the fire had started.
The rescue and investigations by the police
The alarm was raised in the early hours of today, when flames engulfed the home, creating panic among residents in the area. The Fire Department, still working to finally put out the fire, operated in complex conditions to prevent the flames from spreading further.
Meanwhile, Carabinieri have started the surveys on site to reconstruct the dynamics of the incident. Investigations are underway to determine the causes of the fire, which according to initial hypotheses could have started on the upper floor, where the victim's body was found.
Investigators are checking whether it was a accident domestic or whether there are other factors to consider. No official information has been released on the health conditions of the two survivors, who were rescued and transferred to safety.

This is really sad news to read. Unfortunately fires are dangerous and can happen at any time. I hope the investigations can clarify what happened and help the families involved.
