Napoli – Night of inconvenience for dozens of passengers headed to Sofia on Wizzair flight W45078, scheduled to depart on Thursday 12 June from Sofia airport Capodichino.
The plane, initially scheduled for 15pm, took off only in the evening, with a delay of more than five hours, landing in Bulgaria around 15pm.
The passengers, including many Italians, were stuck for hours at the Naples airport, waiting for news. The delay caused serious inconvenience to those who had to reach the Bulgarian capital for work, health or vacation reasons.
No official communication has been released on the precise causes of the disruption, but – according to leaks – exceptional causes such as bad weather or bird strikes have been excluded, considering that the weather conditions were good.
According to European Regulation 261/2004, the passengers involved could be entitled to compensation of up to 250 euros, since the flight was delayed by more than three hours and there were no extraordinary circumstances. To obtain compensation, you can submit a request directly to the airline, or rely on a claim company such as ItaliaRimborso.it or contact a CAF.
Another black day for air transport, with exasperated passengers and a service that continues to show critical issues even on short-haul routes.

It's incredible how there are always problems with flights, I was waiting for hours and there was no clear communication, it's really frustrating. Airlines should be more responsible and inform passengers.
