Naples - Even yesterday evening, with the crowd of young people and families in the streets, there was an inter-force control in the nightlife venues of Vomero and along the streets.
The results showed that 16 commercial establishments were inspected, with numerous warnings issued to the owners for various violations. Three administrative fines were also imposed , totaling approximately €5.000; one of the businesses in question was suspended from its warehouse, serving area, and bar.
The State Police , specifically the Vomero and San Paolo police stations, the Guardia di Finanza, local police personnel, and ASL NA1 Centro personnel took action , carrying out checks in the Vomero neighborhood, particularly in San Martino, along Via Giordano, Via Falcone, and Via Scarlatti, and in Piazza Medaglie D'Oro and Piazza Vanvitelli.
Fines and seizures in the Vomero nightlife
During the operation, the law enforcement officers identified a total of 30 people, including 2 with criminal records and two administratively sanctioned for illicit possession of narcotics for personal use, checked 17 vehicles and charged 45 violations of the Highway Code.
The idea of carrying out checks in the premises and streets of Vomero is good, but sometimes it seems to me that there are too many fines and penalties for small infractions. We need to find a balance between safety and freedom of citizens. Furthermore, it would be useful to have more information on the control criteria used.
