Tarquinia – A scene bordering on the unbelievable occurred in the past few hours in Tarquinia, Lazio.
A 78-year-old man, declared dead by paramedics after suffering a sudden illness, woke up shortly before the hearse arrived, leaving everyone—rescuers and family—in shock.
The elderly man was in his home when he lost consciousness. An ambulance arrived immediately: paramedics attempted to revive him for a long time, but he suffered two cardiac arrests and did not respond to resuscitation efforts.
At that point, the doctors confirmed the death and cancelled the arrival of the air ambulance already in flight, in the meantime activating the procedure for the transfer of the body.

What happened in Tarquinia is incredible; it's not every day you hear a story like this. But I wonder, how could doctors declare a man dead, only to wake up later? I don't know if that's right or wrong.
