Naples – Blitz by the police in the area of ​​via Miano, near a well-known shopping center in the Secondigliano neighborhood, which has long been under observation for recurring episodes of illegality.

In a joint operation of the Operational Units Secondigliano and Avvocata, with the support of the motorcyclists of the Territorial Intervention Group, and in collaboration with the Carabinieri of Secondigliano, technicians from E-Distribuzione and Asia personnel, an illegal food sales station set up on public land was discovered and seized.

The person responsible for the activity had permanently occupied approximately 100 square meters of public space without any authorization, installing gazebos, tables, chairs, umbrellas and various equipment, taking away space from the community and damaging street furniture.

The electricity was supplied through a temporary meter intended for extraordinary uses - such as construction sites or demonstrations - but used illegally to power the commercial activity. E-Distribuzione technicians proceeded to immediately disconnect the illegal connection.

Administrative fines of approximately 70.000 euros were imposed on the man for commercial activity without a permit and illegal occupation of public land. The person responsible was also reported to the Judicial Authority on charges of invasion of public space, damage and defacement of public property.

The equipment present was subjected to criminal seizure, with the affixing of seals and entrusted to the custody of the same offender.

During the operation, a traffic police check was also carried out, which led to the verification of 30 vehicles and the notification of 13 violations of the Highway Code. Among these: driving without a license, failure to have mandatory inspection and insurance, driving with vehicles already seized or subject to seizure, and driving without a helmet.

In total, three vehicles were seized, one was subjected to administrative detention, three were suspended from circulation and two were entrusted to custodian buyers. A complaint was also filed for repeated driving without a license.
