A child falls from his bike in the Salerno area: he is in serious condition and has been transferred to Santobono Hospital.

A summer day turned into a nightmare for a family in Novi Velia, in the heart of Cilento. A 10-year-old boy fell to the ground after losing control of his bike, violently hitting his face on the asphalt. The accident occurred in the center of the village, before the astonished eyes of several residents who immediately alerted emergency services.

The arrival of the 118 ambulance allowed for a timely initial intervention. The child was rushed to the San Luca hospital in Vallo della Lucania, but after evaluating his clinical condition – marked by facial trauma and a mild cerebral hemorrhage – the doctors decided to transfer him to Santobono Hospital in Naples, a referral center for pediatrics in Campania.

Hours of anxiety and concern have plagued the community of Novi Velia, who now await reassuring news. The child's condition is under close observation but stable. Meanwhile, messages of support for the family are pouring in from social media and the streets of the town, in a collective embrace that unites the entire village.

The hope is that the oxygen helmet and Santobono's specialized care can soon bring a smile back to the little boy and his family's faces. A moment of lightheartedness, a carefree ride, turned into a near-tragedy: the safety and supervision of the little ones remain a priority even on seemingly calmer days.
