Trapped in the wreckage of the crashed vehicle, the robber was quickly freed and arrested by the Carabinieri, who responded to the scene following the alarm.
The three occupants of the other vehicle involved in the accident suffered minor injuries and were transported to the emergency room at Aversa Hospital. The arrested man, who was in pain from the impact, also received medical treatment for minor injuries before being taken to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison.
The stolen goods, recovered immediately, were returned to their rightful owner, while the gun and balaclava used in the robbery were seized.
