A night of intense patrols in Castellammare di Stabia, where the Carabinieri of the NAS of Naples, in collaboration with the local company and the Municipal Police, combed the seafront and the liveliest areas of the Saturday nightlife.

The toll is heavy: hygiene and sanitation irregularities in a restaurant, food seizures, two arrests, complaints, and a wave of traffic fines. The restaurant is under scrutiny by the NAS.
A restaurant on the seafront has come under scrutiny by the Carabinieri's Anti-Adulteration and Health Unit.

The inspections uncovered serious violations: improper food handling , inadequate waste management, lack of insect prevention measures, non-compliance with HACCP procedures, and incomplete production sheets.

The owner, a 69-year-old man, was fined approximately €4.000. Furthermore, the police seized 40 kilos of bivalve mollusks without traceability documentation, an irregularity that puts food safety at risk.

Blanket checks in the nightlife

The operation wasn't limited to the restaurant sector. Law enforcement officers patrolled the city's busiest streets, focusing on security and crime prevention.

Two people were arrested: a 58-year-old man, taken to Poggioreale prison pursuant to a prison warrant, and a 48-year-old man, arrested for possession of hashish and marijuana for the purpose of dealing.

Two other people were reported at large: a 37-year-old for drug dealing and a 21-year-old for driving without a license, a repeat offender for the same offense. Four young men, between the ages of 25 and 26, were reported to the Prefecture for drug use, found in possession of small amounts of hashish and marijuana. Traffic: A flurry of fines.

The number of vehicles checked was impressive: 1.100. The checks resulted in 67 traffic violations, totaling approximately €18.000. Among the most common violations were speeding, failure to have a vehicle inspected, and driving without insurance.

The joint operation by the Carabinieri and the Municipal Police sends a clear message: zero tolerance for those who violate the rules, from food safety to legality on the streets. In Castellammare di Stabia, nightlife remains under strict surveillance, with authorities determined to ensure order and compliance.

The article mentions very strict controls in Castellammare di Stabia, but there seems to be some confusion about the details. Restaurants must comply with hygiene regulations, but it's unclear whether all violations are as serious as they appear.
