Capri – A daring theft has rocked the exclusive island of Capri: a luxury watch worth over €200 was stolen from Lord Ara Darzi, a member of the British House of Lords and former Health Secretary under Gordon Brown.
The episode occurred yesterday evening in Via Camerelle, one of the most prestigious streets on the island, a destination for tourists and VIPs. According to initial reconstructions, two robbers attacked Darzi, on holiday in Capri, snatching a precious Richard Mille RM 07 from his wrist before disappearing.
The investigations by the police were immediate: the municipal police intervened on site and Carabinieri from the Capri station, who are analyzing footage from local surveillance cameras. The search for the criminals continues unabated throughout the island.
