Salerno – A 42-year-old man was arrested this morning by the Carabinieri in Amalfi Coast on the serious charge of sexual abuse of a minor.
The man, with no criminal record and an employee of a local hospitality facility, was arrested following the courageous complaint of the victim herself.
The military responded quickly to the scene, managing to free the alleged perpetrator from the fury of the young woman's father, who, upon hearing the news, rushed to the scene. The timely arrival of law enforcement prevented the situation from escalating further.
The magistrate on duty, informed of the incident and the initial findings of the investigation, ordered the man's immediate arrest, and he was transferred to the Fuorni prison pending validation of the arrest.
The girl was promptly taken to the hospital in Salerno, where she received initial medical care and the necessary psychological support from the medical staff.
The investigation, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office, is currently continuing under the strictest secrecy.
