A 57-year-old man was arrested for stalking his ex-partner.
LThe Flying Squad of the Salerno Police Headquarters arrested a 57-year-old man who had already been banned from approaching places frequented by his ex-partner.
The man, now under house arrest by order of the investigating judge of the Court of Salerno, would have continued to persecute the woman despite the restrictions imposed by the authorities.
The decisive incident occurred on July 21st, when the man was caught in a car, acting suspiciously, near the victim's workplace. This behavior, according to the prosecution and the judge, confirmed the persistent harassing behavior, already the subject of previous measures. The Prosecutor's Office, deeming the previous measures insufficient, obtained a stricter precautionary measure, converting the restraining order into house arrest.
A new case that shines a spotlight on the phenomenon of persistent harassment and the importance of timely intervention to protect stalking victims.
