Ercolano – Another life lost on the roads of the province of Naples. Last night, a 27-year-old man lost his life in a tragic car accident in Ercolano.
The young man, a resident of the city, was a passenger on a scooter driven by a 26-year-old friend when, for reasons still under investigation, the driver lost control of the vehicle on Corso Italia, crashing into some parked cars.
Despite the rapid response of emergency responders, the 27-year-old was rushed to Ospedale del Mare, where he unfortunately died from his serious injuries. Carabinieri officers from the Torre del Greco mobile radio unit are working to reconstruct the exact circumstances of the accident, which adds to the tragic list of road fatalities in the area.
In 2025, according to ISTAT data, the Campania region recorded a worrying number of road accident deaths, with Naples and its province continuing to pay a heavy toll. Unfortunately, Campania's roads continue to be the scene of tragedies like last night's, fueling the urgent need for greater safety and awareness.
The roads are dangerous, and you have to be careful. I don't understand why there aren't more checks and safety measures to prevent similar tragedies from happening again and again.
