Vico Equense – Under the centuries-old shade of the garden of La Tuja Relais du Parc, among the scents of citrus fruits of the Sorrento Peninsula, the fourth edition of Girogustando 2025 was presented, the event that from 14 to 16 July will transform the streets of Seiano into a stage of flavors, music and culture.
The event, a symbol of Campania's identity, was illustrated during a press conference coordinated by journalist Antonino Siniscalchi, with interventions by authoritative institutional representatives and those from the gastronomic panorama.
Hosting the event were patron Dino Bozzaotre and resort director Gianmarco Russo, followed by Vincenzo Cirillo, councilor of the Metropolitan City of Naples, Donato Aiello, president of the Pro Loco of Vico Equense, Margherita Aiello of Aicast, Valentina Stinga of Coldiretti, Pierluigi D'Apuzzo of Slow Food Penisola Sorrentina and Isola di Capri, and Marco Palmieri, artistic director of the event.
The president of the Gens Seja APS Association, Ciro Buonocore, creator of the event, underlined the importance of an initiative that enjoys the patronage of the Campania Region, the Municipality of Vico Equense and the Sorrento Peninsula Tourism Board, as well as the support of local cultural and business associations. From 14 to 16 July, Seiano will come alive with a food and wine trail of excellence, which will feature starred chefs such as Antonino D'Alessio (Quattro Passi), Giuseppe Aversa (Il Buco), Vincenzo Guarino (La Corte degli Dei), Giuseppe Guida (Antica Osteria Nonna Rosa), Domenico Iavarone (Zest) and Nicola Somma (Laqua Countryside), supported by over 40 chefs ready to tell the story of the territory through dishes that celebrate seasons and traditions.
Among the most anticipated presences, icons of Neapolitan cuisine such as Manufood, Nennella and Poppella, who will bring the authentic spirit of Naples to Seiano. Not just food: Girogustando will offer live shows with artists such as Francesco Viglietti and Lorena Bartoli, an exhibition-market of typical products and crafts, and an experience that combines art, music and a sense of community.
“It is not just a celebration of taste, but a journey that restores vitality to our villages,” said Marco Palmieri. Great attention is also paid to sustainability and accessibility, with a free shuttle service from the Murrano/Savarese, Marina d'Aequa car parks and the centre of Vico Equense. Ciro Buonocore closed the event by reiterating the commitment to conscious tourism, rooted in tradition and the authentic narration of a unique territory. Girogustando 2025 promises to be an unmissable event, a collective embrace of flavours, culture and beauty of Campania.
The Girogustando event looks very interesting, but I'm not sure I'll be able to go. The dates are approaching, and I already have other commitments. I hope lots of people will participate and enjoy the local traditions.
