Giugliano - The body for which the search began two days ago was found this morning in the waters of a canal between Lago Patria and Varcaturo, in Giugliano, in a marshy area.
It is the same place where for two days divers and dog units conducted the search for Antonio Esposito, the 30-year-old disappeared since last Friday. The authorities are investigating to establish whether it is the young man, father of three children, who according to some investigative hypotheses could be involved, together with two accomplices, in a robbery that took place on Friday afternoon to the detriment of the “Ital Mare”.
The Carabinieri and 118 personnel intervened on site, while the area, impervious and characterized by brambles and tangled vegetation, was isolated for the surveys. Esposito, married and resident in the area, had been seen for the last time near a gas station in via Ripuaria, in Varcaturo. Since then, no trace.
The family members, desperate, filed a complaint with the police, and the search intensified on Sunday evening, after a body was reported in the water in the coastal strip between Lago Patria and Domiziana. In the last few hours, between Giugliano and Varcaturo, rumors and suppositions have followed one another: some speak of a possible illness, others hypothesize an argument. But no certainty.
