Torre del Greco – After the bankruptcy of Turris, Torre del Greco will be able to restart from the Eccellenza championship. This was officially communicated by the president of the FIGC, Gabriele Gravina, in a letter addressed to the mayor Luigi Mennella, in which he announces the activation of the procedure provided for by article 52, paragraph 10, of the Noif (Internal Organizational Rules of the Federation).
A decision that accepts the request made by the mayor himself last May 28, aimed at guaranteeing the city a sporting title to continue the football tradition following the failure of Turris to register for the championships.
In the letter, the FIGC illustrates in detail the process and documentation necessary for a new company to be admitted to the regional championship of Excellence, organized by the Campania Committee of the National Amateur League.
Among the requirements: the affiliation act (if not already present), the formal request for admission to the tournament with the indication of the members, a business plan that certifies economic, organizational and financial solidity, as well as a three-year plan of sports activities.
The support of the municipal administration will also be fundamental: the mayor will have to accompany the candidacy with a letter that accredits the company, expressing the approval of the Municipality and guaranteeing the seriousness of the project and the solidity of the corporate structure.
A decisive step, therefore, for the relaunch of Torre del Greco football after the end of Turris: now it is up to local entrepreneurs and athletes to come forward with a concrete proposal to bring the ball back to rolling at Liguori.

It is important that Torre del Greco can have a new team to continue playing football, but there are many steps to follow and it is not certain that everything will go well. We hope that local entrepreneurs are ready.
