Naples – Upgrade work continues on the Naples-Caserta railway line, via Cancello, as part of the Naples-Bari High-Speed/High-Capacity project.
Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (FS Italiane Group) has announced essential infrastructure work, essential to completing the Naples -Cancello section, which is scheduled for activation in early 2026. To ensure the construction sites remain operational, rail traffic will be suspended between the Acerra and Cancello stations from 23:30 PM on Saturday, July 26, to 15:30 PM on Sunday, July 27.
The changes will affect the schedules of some regional and long-distance trains. Travelers can view details on the travel measures through the railway companies' sales channels. This is a further step toward improving the Campania rail network, with the aim of strengthening high-speed connections between Naples and Bari.
I think these works are important for the Naples-Caserta line, but I wonder if travelers will be notified in time of the changes. It would be nice to have more information about the trains that will be affected.
