Naples – A sweeping operation in the historic center of Naples, where the Carabinieri of the Centro Company carried out a series of raids as part of an extraordinary territorial control service requested by the Provincial Command.

Final report: two arrests, a twenty-year-old reported for possession of a weapon and four illegal parking attendants reported to the judiciary.

That same evening, the Carabinieri arrested a 67-year-old man from the Spanish Quarter, caught escaping from house arrest. The man, previously convicted of abusing his ex-partner, had been kicked out of the house after the woman filed a complaint.

Despite the ban, he returned to his home, where the military tracked him down. Dragged to the barracks, he was then locked up in the Poggioreale prison.

Despite already being subjected to restrictive measures, a 31-year-old from the historic center did not give up dealing. The military, supported by a drug-sniffing dog from the Sarno Dog Unit, searched his home, discovering 10 grams of cocaine and 10 of hashish, already divided into doses.

In addition to the drugs, 250 euros in cash (probable proceeds of drug dealing), a precision scale and a notebook with the movements of the illegal activity were seized. The man, already known to the police, was arrested and is now awaiting trial for possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing.

There were also extensive checks in the university area, where a 20-year-old was reported for illegal possession of weapons after being found in possession of a butterfly knife. There was no shortage of raids against illegal parking attendants: four were identified near the bars in Chiaia and reported to the judicial authorities.

Finally, 12 fines were issued for violations of the highway code, among motorists and motorcyclists caught in violation.

The operation confirms the commitment of the police forces in fighting illegality and degradation in the heart of Naples, including drug dealing, tax evasion and illegal building.

The article talks about several law enforcement operations in Naples, but I don't understand why there are more and more of these problems. Security measures don't seem to work and crimes continue to increase in the city.
