Naples – The State Police is stepping up summer checks to combat driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, a phenomenon that puts road safety at risk.
Last night, at the A56 Agnano-Astroni motorway toll booth, the Naples Highway Police officers carried out a targeted operation, supported by a mobile laboratory provided by the Tangenziale di Napoli company. Naples Spa
During the operation, 30 vehicles were checked and 58 people were identified. Three drivers were reported for driving under the influence of narcotics, while two vehicles were subjected to administrative seizure.
The officers also charged him with six violations of the Highway Code, withdrew two vehicle registration documents and three driving licences, with a total deduction of 15 points.
The aim of the operations, as underlined by the Police, is to promote responsible driving and respect for road rules, to protect human life, too often threatened by reckless behavior. In view of the summer, the checks will continue to ensure greater safety on the roads of Naples.
