Naples – A night of police operations in the city center of Naples resulted in two arrests.
In action, the officers of the Falcons of the Flying Squad who arrested Fabio Equabile, 28, and Francesco Pio Fecero, 22, both from Brusciano and with criminal records, for illegal possession of a clandestine weapon and receiving stolen goods.
The two were caught on Via Salvator Rosa, speeding on motorcycles among a group of young people, performing dangerous maneuvers. Suspicious, the police ordered them to stop and, after a search, found in their possession a 7,65 caliber Beretta pistol with the serial number removed, seven rounds of ammunition, and approximately €2.500 in cash, divided into bills of various denominations.
The two were taken to prison while investigations continue to determine why they were armed and whether the large sum of banknotes was the proceeds of illegal activities.

It's truly strange how the police managed to stop armed people in the city center. I wonder if there are more frequent checks or if this is an isolated case. The arrest numbers are consistently high.
