Naples - Six seconds for a theft: it is certainly a record and perhaps among the fastest in history. That's how long it took a thief to enter the well-known Planet club in Viale Kennedy in Fuorigrotta on Saturday night shortly after 123, steal a bag and disappear.

The man filed a formal complaint with the police and then sent the images to the deputy Francesco Emilio Borrelli who relaunched them on his social media channels.
As shown by video surveillance footage, around 23,06pm on Saturday, a man wearing a cap and a dark T-shirt entered the premises with a determined stride and then ran out exactly six seconds later with a bag belonging to the owner's wife, which he had left on the table.

“This guy came into my restaurant, the Planet, and stole my wife’s purse from the table. I immediately filed a complaint with the Carabinieri,” said the owner, still shaken.
"We are faced with yet another demonstration of how easy it has become for habitual criminals to act undisturbed even in public and frequented places. Episodes like this, in which a thief enters a place as if nothing had happened and runs away with the stolen goods, are unacceptable. It is clear that there is a lack of fear of the law.
More controls are needed, but above all a cultural and institutional change is needed: zero tolerance towards any form of crime. Our solidarity goes to the owners of Planet and to all honest traders and workers who have to live with growing insecurity every day. Naples deserves respect and protection”, commented the Green MP, Francesco Emilio Borrelli.
