Arrested for threatening with a gun in a bar
UAn episode of absurd violence, sparked by a trivial argument, took place on July 12th in a bar in Baiano, in the province of Avellino. The perpetrator (in the worst possible way) was a 35-year-old resident of Naples, who decided to settle an argument by pulling out a gun and pointing it at a minor present in the bar.
The Carabinieri, after the investigations, arrested him by executing an order issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Avellino At the request of the Prosecutor's Office. The man, already known to law enforcement, was placed under house arrest, while the weapon—a 7,65 caliber pistol—was seized.
The dynamics are clear: a likely trivial argument, an overreaction, and a scene straight out of a detective movie: a man brandishing a gun in a public place, terrorizing customers and patrons. Fortunately, no one was injured, but the act remains extremely serious.
Now justice will take its course, while the question remains as to what could drive someone to unleash a weapon over a simple argument. Meanwhile, the 35-year-old will have to answer for his actions: and this time, for him, simply saying "I let myself get carried away by anger" won't be enough.
