San Prisco – He was driving a white Smart car registered to a rental company when he was stopped by the Carabinieri for a check. His nervous demeanor aroused the officers' suspicions, and they decided to investigate further.
The search confirmed the suspicions: he was hiding cocaine inside chocolate egg containers.
It happened last night on Viale Europa, where the Carabinieri of the San Prisco station arrested a 22-year-old Albanian national, of no fixed abode, on charges of illegal possession of narcotics.
During the personal and vehicle searches, officers found 10 doses of cocaine—weighing approximately 5 grams—concealed in two plastic eggs, the kind typically used to contain sweet treat surprises. They also seized €265 in cash, believed to be the presumed proceeds of drug dealing.
After completing the formal procedures, the young man was transferred to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison, where he remains awaiting the validation hearing.
The article talks about a strange news story, but I wonder how anyone could hide cocaine in chocolate eggs. It makes no sense; they should check this better.
