Sant ' Anastasia – A morning of terror in the small church of the Santa Caterina da Siena Institute, run by the Dominican Sisters.
Shortly after 8:XNUMX a.m., while a mass was in progress attended by nuns and some faithful, a man dressed in black and with his face covered entered the sacred building, most likely to commit a robbery.
The situation escalated in seconds: the intruder fired several shots , causing panic among those present, then fled before anyone could stop him. The State Police responded immediately to the scene and are now reconstructing the events.
The Prefect of Naples, Michele Di Bari , is in constant contact with Mayor Carmine Esposito to follow the investigation. The manhunt has already begun, and a breakthrough could come from surveillance cameras in the area, which may have captured the fugitive.
There are currently no reports of injuries, but tension among residents is palpable. The incident, which occurred in a sacred place and at a time when the church is usually frequented by the elderly and nuns, has deeply shaken the community.

The incident described is truly disturbing and makes us reflect on how difficult church security is. We hope law enforcement can find the culprit quickly. It's sad to know that these things happen.
