Sarno – A night of fear and tension rocked the city of Sarno, where a wave of thefts raised alarm in several neighborhoods. Residents have filed reports of stolen cars in the last few hours, with incidents concentrated on Corso Vittorio Emanuele, the Ferrovia dello Stato area, and Via Vecchia Lavorate.

In the hamlet of Lavorate, residents were concerned about the suspicious presence of a car with at least three people inside, reported on private land.

Dozens of people poured into the streets. According to eyewitnesses, gunshots were also heard, further heightening fear in the neighborhood.

The alleged criminals, feeling hunted, abandoned the car and fled on foot through the surrounding fields, disappearing without a trace.

Carabinieri from the Sarno station promptly responded to the scene and began an investigation. Their investigation revealed that the abandoned vehicle had been stolen in Nocera Inferiore, likely a few hours earlier.

On Viale Margherita, a Fiat Doblò was stolen from a parking spot inside a condominium complex. Other thefts occurred yesterday in the Cappella Vecchia area, where a moped and a car parked outside an apartment building were stolen. Law enforcement is also investigating this case to gather evidence to identify the perpetrators.
