Seiano is no longer just a place to wander through: thanks to Girogustando, it has once again become a place to experience. The opening of the event's fourth edition transformed the small village into a veritable explosion of vitality, beauty, and flavor. An enthusiastic crowd filled the alleys, illuminated by warm lights and musical notes, restoring soul and breath to a space that had remained silent for too long.
Behind this success is the tireless work of Ciro Buonocore, president of the Gens Seja APS Association, and artistic director Marco Palmieri, who have crafted—with passion, sacrifice, and vision—a festival capable of blending gastronomy and culture into a winning formula. More than forty chefs, including notable names such as Antonino D'Alessio, Giuseppe Aversa, Vincenzo Guarino, and others, have created a food and wine journey that seduced every palate, from the simplest to the most refined. The flavors of Campania took shape in creatively reinterpreted traditional dishes, in a sensory feast that spanned the town's piazzas, courtyards, and hidden corners.
But Girogustando has gone far beyond the kitchen: traveling musical performances, impromptu concerts, theatrical forays, and visual suggestions have transformed Seiano into a multifaceted theater, a living nativity scene animated not by papier-mâché figures but by real, smiling, and engaged people. In stark contrast to the static nature of the "official nativity scene," closed to the public, the village has embraced openness, sharing, and spontaneity.
The organizers' words captured the essence of what happened. Buonocore spoke of "a victory for participation," while Palmieri emphasized the cultural value of the event, capable of "rekindling the soul of places" and putting "the community, artisans, artists, and local producers" back at the center. All this took place in an atmosphere brimming with emotion, where past and present merged into a single, engaging collective narrative.
