Thirty-three cars, many with foreign license plates, were caught in the network of extraordinary checks ordered by the Naples Local Police Command. They were driving in the Scampia and Chiaiano neighborhoods without complying with basic traffic rules. This targeted operation, conducted by officers from the Scampia task force and the Territorial Intervention Group, was designed to verify the legality of vehicles that pass through the busiest areas of the northern suburbs every day.

The results speak for themselves: over €6.200 in fines, three vehicles seized, and a license revoked. The violations revealed a Wild West on wheels: missing documents, licenses that were either non-compliant or never obtained, and foreign vehicles not registered in Italy despite their regular circulation in the country. Added to these are serious omissions, such as failure to have inspections and failing to update residence information.

The municipal police raid has put pressure on a community where traffic regulations are too often ignored. The goal is clear: to restore legality and safety on the streets, particularly targeting those seeking shortcuts using foreign license plates. This is the first step in a plan of enforcement that, the Command assures, will continue extensively in the coming weeks.
