During their routine patrol, the officers encountered a dramatic scene: a little girl in severe breathing difficulty, already blue. With calm and lucidity, the officers performed lifesaving measures, successfully reviving the little girl.
Immediately afterward, without wasting any time, they loaded the mother and daughter into the service car and rushed them to the San Leonardo hospital in Castellammare di Stabia.
Giuseppe Raimondi, Provincial General Secretary of the Coisp Police Union, spoke out on the matter, praising the officers' work:
"Heroes, that's the only appropriate word. They acted with professionalism and composure, immediately understanding the gravity of the situation and perfectly executing the only maneuver capable of saving the little girl's life."
Raimondi also underlined that the intervention, although not part of the officers' ordinary duties, was carried out in an exemplary manner:
"They've demonstrated how crucial law enforcement presence is on the ground, especially in times of emergency. My thoughts, as a father even before a police officer, also go out to the newborn's parents, who experienced moments of pure terror."
The union representative finally made an appeal to the Naples Police Chief, asking for official recognition for the officers involved in the episode:
"They deserve recognition for their courage and dedication. They have brought honor to the uniform and the State Police."
