Tragedy in Vomero: three workers lose their lives
NApoli– A workplace tragedy rocked the Vomero neighborhood this morning. Around 9.40:XNUMX a.m., a freight elevator fell from the sixth floor of a building under renovation on Via San Giacomo dei Capri, killing three workers.
According to initial reports, the three men were performing construction work on a mobile platform when, for reasons yet to be determined, the lifting system suddenly collapsed. The vertical collapse left no escape for the workers, who died instantly from the impact.
Firefighters responded immediately to the scene, securing the area and collaborating with rescuers. Law enforcement has launched an investigation to reconstruct the exact circumstances of the accident and determine any liability related to construction site safety.
Residents and colleagues of the workers rushed to the scene as soon as they heard the news. The judiciary ordered the area to be cordoned off and an autopsy performed on the victims' bodies.
