Trentola Ducenta – He allegedly repeatedly targeted the Leonardo Da Vinci Scientific High School in Trentola Ducenta, committing ten thefts between April and May: five inside the school, stealing teaching materials, and five more from vending machines selling snacks and drinks.
This is what emerged from the investigation by the Carabinieri of the local station, who arrested a 26-year-old local man, who is now under house arrest by order of the investigating judge of the Court of Naples North.
The investigation, coordinated by the North Naples Prosecutor's Office (Acting Prosecutor Anna Maria Lucchetta), began following the widespread alarm raised in the school community and the surrounding area. Several raids, in fact, led to the suspension of classes, particularly when computer devices intended for students were stolen.
Thanks to the analysis of the video surveillance images of the school and cameras installed near nearby homes and businesses, the military were able to trace the identity of the alleged perpetrator.
Also crucial in this regard was the identification of the clothing used during the robberies, which was later recovered during a search. On that occasion, the young man was found in possession of coins and snacks consistent with those stolen from the vending machines.
According to the Carabinieri's reconstruction, the 26-year-old operated primarily at night, especially on weekends. After forcing doors and windows to gain entry to the school, he stole school supplies, food, and money, then left the building using various routes, returning home only several hours later.
The operation was applauded by the school community and the students' families, who had been calling for months for action to put an end to a series of incursions that had undermined the serenity of the school environment.

This is a very strange thing that happened at the high school. I don't understand how the boy managed to commit ten thefts in such a short time. The school should have been more secure and had better controls over its income. I hope these things never happen again.
