Construction bonus scam: €19,5 million seized in Naples province

Share

NNaples – Tax credits worth approximately €19,5 million, linked to the so-called "Ecobonus" incentives, have been seized by the Naples Financial Police as part of an investigation into alleged scams in the construction incentive sector.

The measure affected three companies based in Frattamaggiore, Caivano, and Casoria, in the heart of the northern area of the Naples province.

According to investigations conducted by the Frattamaggiore company's financial police, coordinated by the North Naples Public Prosecutor's Office, the tax credits were generated based on building renovation work that, in reality, was never carried out or was only partially carried out compared to what was declared in the tax documents.

In one case, one of the suspects allegedly attempted to involve a Piedmontese operator specialized in financial intermediation and credit transfer, in an attempt to monetize the fictitious creditsThe professional, active in the small and medium-sized business credit sector, was supposed to facilitate the transformation of non-existent credit into real liquidity, an operation fortunately thwarted by the Guardia di Finanza (Fiamme Gialle).

Today's seizure is part of a broader investigative effort: since the beginning of 2025 alone, the Guardia di Finanza has already blocked the circulation of non-existent tax credits worth more than €370 million, thus preventing significant damage to the state coffers.
