Illegal cosmetic surgery reported in Villaricca
Villaricca - After months marked by dramatic incidents related to improvised cosmetic surgery, which have highlighted the dangers of trusting inexperienced hands, the Carabinieri are intensifying their controls.
The latest operation, conducted in Villaricca, led to the filing of a complaint against a woman who, with thousands of followers on social media, advertised and performed illegal cosmetic procedures. This is a powerful warning, recalling recent tragedies that have shocked public opinion.
The investigations, conducted by Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Naples, are increasingly making use of web patrolling, a new and crucial frontier for territorial control.
It was thanks to this activity that the police identified a 35-year-old woman, particularly active online, who promised lips, cheekbones and "everything you need to be more beautiful" at rock-bottom prices, with the catchy slogan "where you can dream."
The intervention of the Carabinieri of the Villaricca station, supported by ASL staff, revealed the bitter truth: the woman's apartment had been transformed into a veritable illegal clinic.
Inside, numerous medical, surgical, and aesthetic products were found and seized, including hyaluronic acid and Botox, as well as treatment tables, syringes, and tattoo removal machines. This activity was conducted completely illegally, with no respect for health or environmental regulations.
The 35-year-old was charged with multiple violations, including unauthorized practice of a profession and health and environmental crimes. She was also fined €10.
This episode once again underscores the urgency of informing and warning about the dangers of those who turn to unqualified professionals, attracted by attractive offers and the ease of access via social networks.
The consequences, as recent news reports have painfully demonstrated, can be far more serious than a simple shattered "dream," seriously compromising one's health and, in some cases, life itself.

It's sad to see how people trust those who lack the necessary skills. Health and well-being are important. Of course, there's a need for greater controls and information to avoid unpleasant surprises in the future.
